課包 is a tool made by a very small team. It started with one tutor's complaint: "Every month I spend more time chasing payments, counting lessons and explaining my leave rules than preparing lessons."
Why "課包" (lesson package)
Tutors and tutoring centres in Taiwan usually take payment up front for a "lesson package" (課包): 8, 12 or 16 lessons at a time. But once a package is sold, deducting lessons, leave, make-up lessons and renewals are all handled by the tutor alone, by hand, in LINE. We just want to take good care of each package's whole life cycle.
Three principles that won't change
- We never touch tuition. Money goes straight from parents to the tutor's payment provider or bank account. We only charge a subscription, so we have no reason to make you charge more or later.
- The rules belong to the tutor, not the platform. The system just carries them out faithfully, keeps records, and notifies parents in the tutor's name. The tutor can waive any decision.
- Parents don't need another app. Taiwanese parents are already on LINE, so we built everything into LINE.
