This English version is a translation provided for convenience. The Chinese (Traditional) version is the legally binding version and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

In plain words: 課包 is a tool tutors use to manage lesson packages, leave and payments. The tutor receives the tuition and sets the lesson rules; 課包 is not a party to the transaction and does not hold tuition. Subscriptions are priced in US dollars and billed by Creem, and you can cancel at any time.

Welcome to 課包 (kebao.tw, the "Platform"). By signing up for or using the service, tutors, tutoring centres and their members (each a "Tutor") agree to these terms; when parents use the service through a Tutor's LINE Official Account or public enrolment page, the parts relevant to them also apply. For how personal data is handled, see the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

The Platform provides software tools for lesson packages, leave and make-up rules, a lesson ledger, payment records and reconciliation, receipts, LINE notifications and public enrolment pages. The Platform does not provide teaching services, is not a party to any contract between Tutors and parents, and does not match tutors with students.

2. The Platform never handles tuition

  • Parents' tuition is collected by the Tutor's own ECPay, NewebPay or other payment store and paid directly into the Tutor's account, or transferred by parents directly into the Tutor's bank account. The Platform does not receive, hold or pass on any tuition, and does not offer payment collection, escrow or stored-value services.
  • The Platform only creates payment requests according to the Tutor's settings and receives payment result notifications and parents' bank transfer reports, to update payment records and lesson balances.
  • Whether a transfer has been received is determined by the Tutor or their finance staff checking the bank statement; the system does not confirm transfers automatically.
  • Tuition amounts, refunds, over- or under-payments and related disputes are handled between the Tutor and the parent; the Platform only keeps records for both sides to review.
  • When using a payment provider's services, the Tutor must comply with that provider's terms and limits.

3. Receipts are not uniform invoices

The "payment receipts" the system produces are issued in the Tutor's name and only prove that the Tutor has received the payment. They are not government uniform invoices and are not issued by the Platform. Tutors or tutoring centres registered for tax must issue invoices themselves as required by law; Tutors are responsible for their own income and business tax filings. The subscription fee the Platform charges Tutors is collected by Creem, the merchant of record, which issues the receipt; the Platform does not issue Taiwan uniform invoices for it.

4. Responsibilities of tutors and tutoring centres

  • Tutoring centres must register themselves under the Short-term Supplementary Education Act and the rules of their local competent authority, and the operator bears the responsibility for registration and related regulations. An individual tutor who teaches several students at a fixed location may also be regarded as a tutoring centre; please check for yourself. The Platform only provides tools and does not review or guarantee any operator's registration status.
  • The Tutor collects the personal data of parents and students and must, under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of Taiwan, inform parents of the purpose of collection, collect only necessary data, and handle parents' requests for access, correction and deletion.
  • The leave, deduction, make-up and renewal rules set by the Tutor must be made known to parents in advance. The system decides automatically under the Tutor's rules at the time and keeps a record; the Tutor may waive or adjust any decision at any time and bears the related responsibility.
  • The Tutor must keep their sign-in account safe and is responsible for the actions of their members (finance staff, teachers).

5. LINE Official Accounts

Notices are sent from the Tutor's own LINE Official Account, and the Tutor pays LINE directly for messaging under LINE's plans (for example, the Light plan includes 200 free messages per month; tutoring centres with more students usually need the Standard plan, NT$1,000/month for 3,000 messages from November 1, 2026). The Tutor must comply with LINE's terms of use. When the message quota runs out, the system pauses notices by priority or shows them on a page instead, and undelivered notices are listed in the Tutor dashboard.

6. Plans and subscriptions

  • Free: up to 3 students, manual payments and bank transfer reconciliation; no automatic renewal notices, online payments or public enrolment page.
  • Pro, Workshop and Studio (for tutoring centres): charged monthly or yearly to a credit card by Creem at the US-dollar prices on the pricing page, which include tax. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time; after cancelling you can keep using the plan until the end of the current period, after which you return to Free.
  • After returning to Free, student data above the limit is kept, but you must upgrade or archive students before adding new ones; the public enrolment page stops being public and online payment links are closed.
  • Subscription fees already paid are not refundable unless the law provides otherwise.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the service to send advertising unrelated to lessons, impersonate others, upload false or infringing content, collect unnecessary personal data, or interfere with or break into the system or other Tutors' data. The Platform may suspend or terminate the service for anyone who does.

8. Data, export and account deletion

Tutors can download all their data or delete their account at any time in "Settings › Data export and deletion". Auto-renewal must be cancelled before deleting an account; deleted data cannot be recovered. Parents can unlink and delete their own contact details themselves in LINE.

9. Service changes and limitation of liability

The Platform does its best to keep the service stable, but it may be interrupted by maintenance, failures of third-party services (LINE, payment providers, cloud services) or force majeure. The Platform does not guarantee that every notice is delivered, and Tutors should still check important payment and lesson status themselves. To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for indirect losses, and compensation for direct losses is capped at the subscription fees the Tutor paid the Platform in the last 12 months.

10. Changes to these terms and governing law

When these terms change, we update the date on this page, and major changes are announced in the Tutor dashboard; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance for any dispute arising from the service.
